Reception class held their first assembly - a special Mother’s Day Assembly. (March 2010).
Class 1 made fruit drinks for DT topic and Class 1 and 2 raised £41.00 for the RSPCA making fruit cocktails. (March 2010).
We celebrated World Book Day by dressing as our favourite characters. (March 2010).
We had a special assembly at the end of Culture week where each class shared what they had done during the week and talked about their class visitors.(February 2010).

In Science, Year five carried out an investigation to find out which material was the best insulator of sound.
Kenley’s football team took part in a tournament recently (Jan 2010).
Years 5 and 6 organised a book sale recently (Jan 2010).

Film Club After Easter the school will be running a film club after school each Thursday. More details about this will be sent out soon.
Decorate an Egg Competition Once again we are holding our annual decorate an egg competition. This is open to all children, parents and staff. If you wish to display your egg within a scene please note it should not be bigger than A4. Eggs should be brought in to school on Thursday 25th March and put on the display tables, which will be in the hall. Please make sure the egg is named. The school council will judge these.
Scamnesty. Croydon Trading Standards together with the Office of Fair Trading are launching Scamnesty month in February 2010. WoW (Walk on Wednesday) For new parents who have not participated in this before WoW is a day when we encourage parents and children to walk to school. If you have to come by car we ask that you park away from school and walk the last bit. If you come by bus please try and get off a few stops earlier and walk the last bit. 85 children walked to school this week.
